Brainware University proposes PhD in many established disciplines such as engineering, management, science and humanities. The basic eligibility criteria for the PhD program is to have a master's degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. The same applies for candidates in their last year of the master`s degree.
The prospective student first fills an online application form which contains the educational transcript, research proposals and about statement of his or her purpose, after which, he or she pays the application fee. After that, is a research proposal presentation and a personal interview in front of a panel of HoDs and research guides. 1. First of all, check the eligibility criteria set by the university related to the qualifications, entrance test scores, and so on and then make sure that you have met them before applying.

1. For entry, the BUPET (Brainware University PhD Entrance Test) is mandatory. The BUPET test measures reasoning abilities in the quantitative, verbal, and analytical aspects that the candidate needs for a PhD research.
2. The candidates for a engineering PhD, in addition to a valid score in GATE or equivalent engineering entrance exam accepted by Brainware University, must also have a valid score in GATE or equivalent engineering entrance exam.
3. For students aspiring for a science PhD, the possession of a valid CSIR UGC NET score in their science specialisation is a requirement to prove their level of knowledge in the area.
4. The Brainware University also admits PhD students whose National level PhD qualifying exam score is considered equivalent to the PhD program.
5. The candidates who were qualified for the national fellowships like CSIR JRF or UGC JRF automatically secure a seat depending on their fellowship rank.
6. For international applicants, the admission process would consist of a qualifying score for Brainware Global Aptitude Test (BGAT) that would exams their English language, logical reasoning and quantitative skills.
