The process of applying for admissions to AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is normally conducted between November and December every year. The students are required to register online through the AIIMS website. After entering their personal information into the system, they can go ahead and complete the application form. Enrollment open until the first week in January. The examination is held in May-June. As of by end of June results are out.
The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a web based counseling process as part of the selection procedure to select the AIIMS campus they prefer as well as their preferred course. The seat allocation system is based on the examination rank, the choices filled, and the availability. The first round of online counseling is scheduled on June-July. The applicants can choose the courses and campus of their preference and opt for another campus and course if the need arises. A new round of counselling takes place in August for admission into preferred college/course for unfilled seats.

1. On the official AIIMS website (www.aiimsexams.org), go to a link that says 'Academic Courses' or 'Prospectus' and click on it.
2. Check that you are eligible for the exam, read the application process, exam pattern etc and do as per instructions. Ensure that you meet all the requirements.
3. Click on the 'Registration/Login' link (‘New Registration’ if it's your first time). Please enter the registration steps that are required to create a login.
4. Please login using your username and password and then fill the AIIMS MBBS application form uploading all the necessary documents.
5. The application charges can be made online through credit or debit cards, net banking or UPI.
6. Please download and print the application page with the application number from this web page for your information in the future.
7. Once you've submitted the application form, it cannot be edited anymore so make sure you've filled all the details correctly before the final submission.
8. You had better not miss the application. Failure to submit on time applications may be considered as a rejection reason.
9. Keep and save the login credentials for checking application status and downloading the admit card later on.
10. Keep a lookout for the date of admit card release and print a copy when it is available. Show up in the given center and the assigned time for the entrance exam.

Undergraduate Programs (MBBS)
- NEET UG: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- for admission to the MBBS program is the one for the MBBS program.
Postgraduate Programs
- AIIMS PG: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ Postgraduate Entrance Examination - for the purpose of admission to the DM/MCh and MD/MS programs
- INI CET: Institute of National Importance Consolidated Entrance Test – to gain admission to the MD/MS courses.

- The NEET UG is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Institutes of National Importance Common Entrance Test (INI CET) and All India Institute of Medical Sciences Postgraduate Entrance Test (AIIMS PG) are conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi.
- The objective of these pre-clinical exams is to filter unsuccessful candidates from the pool and only those who have obtained satisfactory performance will be allowed to proceed to the counseling and admission stage.
- The process of registering for these exams takes place online through the respective exam portals.
- This admissions process is subjective on merit and is counseling-mode after passing those entrance tests.
- Educational Qualification: A minimum qualification of passing Class 12 or an equivalent exam, incorporating subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, is mandatory. The candidates must have at least 60% marks in the PCB (55% for SC/ST candidates).
- Age Limit: The underaged candidate should not be less than 17 years old. There is an open admission policy for those above the age of 17 years for MBBS at AIIMS New Delhi.
- Nationality: All Indian citizens, the Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), the Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and the foreign nationals are entitled to apply for AIIMS MBBS admission.
- Number of Attempts: Candidates from the General/EWS category can put their names forward to write the entrance exam 6 times as well. As regards to the SC/ST/OBC candidates there is no prescribed number of attempts.
- Qualifying Exam: All the applicants have to pass the national level AIIMS MBBS entrance exam that is based on the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This actually means that they will have to do attend the counseling session, too.
- Disability Certificate: Disabled candidates have to submit a valid handicapped certificate provided by a medical board prior to the admission.
- AIIMS connsuits entrance examinations namely AIIMS MBBS, AIIMS PG, among others for the purpose of admitting students into different medical courses.
- For admission, applicants have to first take the entrance exam conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.
